water purification tablets?
We're putting together a small family emergency kit... was reading that it's good to keep a small supply of water purification tablets on hand, "just in case." 1) Where can we buy them, 2) We know there are bleach tablets, iodine tablets and "others"... which are best (as a last resort of course) and 3) as a LAST RESORT, is water treated with these types of tablets okay to use with a baby (again, in an emergency situation where there is no other alternative)... THANKS! 
Emergency-food supply stores and camping equipment stores have just what you need. You may also want to get a water filter (a micro-filter with a pump), too. A water filter reduces particulate matter and larger oganisms, with carbon filters to remove small particulate and smells. Then you can treat for smaller organisms with the iodine tablets. The bad taste can be neutralized with citric acid tablets, so put these in your kit, too. Read and follow label instructions. Experiment with it so you know how to use them, and also so you know if you have adverse reactions. Better to know in the best of conditions how you would react.
