Intensity Led Flashlight
What is the advantage of krypton flash light bulbs Vs. regular halogen Vs. LED when buying a flashlight?
I know that LED flashlights are pretty crappy. I heard that Krypton flashlights and Halogen flashlights are about the same and produce the same intensity and range. Is this true? Does anybody have first hand experience?
I know that LED is great as far as battery life but does not have as much candlepower as Halogen or Krypton.
Between Krypton and Halogen, Which has more candlepower?
I assure you, if you get a good LED flashlight, it will be brighter than a similar model with a krypton/halogen bulb. I will never buy another flashlight that is not LED. Led is far superior, better life, (better tint usually), and they are bright with less artifacts.
LED flashlights with multiple small leds are garbage. A good LED flashlight will feature 1 normal high-powered CREE, or another brand.
I would recommend if you like AA/AAA that you look into Icon, Fenix. If you want C or D I suggest you look into... well maglite is the only major manufacturer to use D or C. If you want high quality CR123, I suggest you look into Surefire, Fenix, Inova, among many others. If you want small CR2, you do not have much choice, but Muysondt is good, but expensive.
Check out some lights on this site, they have all sorts of flashlights, with all different bulb types. They carry a lot of the major brands. I bought my Muyshondt Aeon from them, and they were very easy to deal with.
