Glow Dark Reflective
What Do You Think Of This Poem? I Wrote Myself But Not Sure If Its Good!?
A Silent Cry,
A Blood Stained Tear,
A Painful Scream,
That No One Hears.
A Dark Room,
No One Home,
Except From Her,
With An Empty Soul.
A Candle Lit,
A Faint Glow,
A Forgotten Scent,
She Forgot Long Ago.
A Blade In Hand,
A Reflective Shine,
A Glance At Her Watch,
Its Just About Time.
A Note Already Wrote,
A Reason For It All,
Why This Boy,
Is What Made Her Heart Broke.
Shes Moves The Blade Close,
Just Touching Her Skin,
She Lets Out One Last Cry,
A Tear Runs Off Her Chin.
She Pressures It More,
She Closes Her Eyes,
When Suddenly,
A Faint Memory Comes To Mind.
A Smile On Her Face,
A Simalier Sound,
Family And Friends,
All Around.
Memorys Come Rushing Back,
Laughter Though Them All,
Every One She Loves,
Everything She Forgot.
Somethings Trying To Tell Her.
Why Should She End It All?
Because Of A Boy,
She Never Realie Knew.
She Opens Her Eyes,
Pulls The Blade Aways,
A Smile Apperes,
The One She Used To Use.
This poem has definite potential. However, there are a few problems. Your rhyme scheme is erratic and even nonexistent in the last three stanzas. You may need to consider whether you want it to rhyme or not at all. Meter could use a little tweaking too. There are some spelling and punctuation issues as well. These are all easily fixed though. Despite all this, the content is good. Maybe a little overused, but the fact that your protagonist reconsiders her actions in the end is very refreshing and true. She came to realize what very few a willing to see. Sounds like it was written from the heart and with some first hand knowledge. Keep writing...you have talent.
