Product Description The Lafuma Warm'n Light 800 Sleeping Bag is the lightweight, super-compact 30-degree-rated companion you want when you're traveling in cool to mild temperatures. Anything lighter and you're in full summer territory, anything heavier and you'll be sweating both in your tent and on the uphill due to added bulk. The wispy Tactel lining feels great against your skin, while the light ripstop shell repels water and resists abrasion without weighing you down when compressed. A small accessory pocket hides an alarm or keychain light for midnight nature calls.

Adequate for conditions and great price March 24, 2008 I have had this bag for a few years and find that it meets my expectations. It has a little more wiggle room than my similar Moonstone Minima. I have used it in freezing (32F) conditions and it was adequate with light weight base layer clothing and socks on inside the bag. I consider it a fine summer bag because it is light and compressible. The hood and zipper work well for me. The draft tube needed to be adjusted a little from the inside once, but fine otherwise. It shouldn't be stored before sale stuffed, if that was the case (indicated in another review) that was too bad. If you are a cold sleeper then the 30 degree F rating probably won't seem adequate. I am a warm sleeper, 5'-9 and 175. Regular size is adequate and even has room for my clothing in the bottom. Note that no down bag insulates on the bottom, so an insulating pad is necessary. See the Lafuma home page for more info. the fill is a mix of goose down and feathers (90%-10% if I recall correctly). It isn't waterproof, but I have had condensation from the tent on the shell of the bag several times and it always beaded up and rolled off. I believe the shell has a Water Resistant finish. You can probably spend more and get a higher loft bag with lower rating (warmer), but not at this price. Weight was as advertised. Stuff sack is too small, I thought.
not so warm December 11, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was skeptical when I got this bag b/c there was no loft. I'm guessing it was probably packed in the stuff sack for over a yr at Amazon since the tag said it was made in 2006. Anyways, I got it in the summer and I was definitely sweating in it in Sept but I tried using it in my basement apt recently and though it was about 50 degrees, I was freezing. I ended up trying my fleece liner and that by itself was warmer than this bag.
Easily packable very warm January 11, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great bag. Packs to be smaller than a loaf of bread in the stuff sack. The bag is rated at 30 degrees and stands up to that rating easily. The only issue that a user may encounter is damage to the outer shell as it is soft material. Using a mat or poncho under the bag while on a rough surface will eliminate this concern. Over all, a very compact, warm bag. Worth the price.
Great Bag! January 8, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've only had this bag for a short time, and haven't had the opportunity to fully test it yet, however, at 1lb 12oz, this is a very light bag. I primarily use my bags during the spring, summer, and fall months, so I didn't need more than a 30 degree bag. I had the opportunity to use this bag when spending the night in my sister's cold basement over the holidays, and it got down to low to mid 50's in the basement. Which is freezing if you sleep only in shorts as I do, and during the winter. And I'll say this, even though 50's isn't really a super good test for the bag, I was sweating in it. The insulation was superb. I'll not know for sure how good it is until a real field test, but so far, at the weight to quality ratio, I'm impressed with the bag. And I got it for only $68 here on Amazon. It was $135+ everywhere else. I recommend this bag.
Great price performance June 30, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
You can find lighter bags out there but they're typically more than twice the price of this bag. My partner and I each bought one and tried them out on the Olympic Peninsula coast last weekend. They pack compactly and the stuff sack conveniently has a draw pull to compress even further. We had unusually warm weather for this region so I'm not sure how it would perform if it were actually 30 degrees.
Note: one feature of this sleeping bag is that it is "twinnable" but there doesn't appear to be an option to specify which zip side you want when you order it. Both of the bags we ordered came with left zips, so I guess we won't be trying that feature. Given the intentional narrow design (which preserves heat and saves space), it's a bit hard to imagine that twinning would be that comfortable anyway.
